Besides, these people should have a hands-on expertise while it comes to applying the theoretical knowledge to the real life situations.

Representation of the tax payer: 

Last but not least, an expert tax accountant needs to be aware of the ways to represent the clients before IRS. So, it is necessary to be aware of the IRS policies and processes and the tax codes to successfully represent the clients during audit. Besides, it is also necessary to be aware of the case law and the tax law to practice in the tax court. Apart from that, meeting the education and certification standards of education is also necessary as well.
